The story of SIE Group is one of hard work, family and steady growth. What started as a small transport operation with two trucks has grown into a logistics network covering transportation, haulage, forwarding and warehousing across Malaysia.
Mr. Azisul Haq and Mr. Muhammad Jaafar started out with just two 1-tonne trucks, serving customers in the Ipoh Free Trade Zone. Built on reliability and hard work, the business grew fast — within seven years, the fleet had grown to more than 30 trucks.
As customers began needing more than trucking, we formed SIE Supplies & Forwarding (M) Sdn. Bhd., adding customs clearance and import/export forwarding — the start of a more complete logistics service.
Demand for container haulage was growing fast. We expanded our trucking capabilities to match, building the fleet, equipment and know-how to move containers, not just cargo.
A major milestone — we acquired SR Gemilang Transport (M) Sdn. Bhd., growing our combined fleet to more than 300 prime movers and trailers, backed by two container depots in Ipoh. This made us one of the region’s key container haulage operators.
We expanded into warehousing and distribution, rounding out an end-to-end supply chain service. Today we support FMCG, electrical & electronics, and medical device customers, serving distribution centres and retail networks across Klang Valley and beyond.
With the second generation of the family now leading the way, SIE Group is investing in technology — tracking systems, warehouse software and GPS fleet monitoring — to build a smarter, more connected supply chain, while holding on to the values we started with.
